Workshoppers will learn the difference between flashbacks and backstory, and how to execute both correctly when needed.
CLASS TWO: FORESHADOWING - TUESDAY, JULY 17, 2012 @ 9:00PM EST
Workshoppers will learn the art of foreshadowing. Also covered will be symbolism and figurative language and how the author can use it develop stronger ties with the reader.
CLASS THREE: SUSPENSE & TENSION - TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2012 @ 9:00PM EST
Alfred Hitchcock said, "There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it." Workshoppers will learn the difference between the two, and how to master them from page one.
CLASS FOUR: REVISION & SELF EDITING - TUESDAY, JULY 31, 2012 @ 9:00PM EST
In this class we will learn how to revise and self edit our works. We will learn how to use the critical eye, how to improve future writing from it, and how to look at the work as an editor or publisher looks at it.
